Victorian Medicine in St Neots
This talk looks at local medicine from around 1800 during the Napoleonic era and throughout the Victorian period, as dramatic discoveries brought the potential for change. It uncovers the diseases and chronic ill health which affected many Victorians and examines the medicines and local remedies available. At the same time, it reveals the variety of local medical practitioners in the St Neots area, including surgeons, chemists and herbalists.
